MiLi Task 8 System Engineering Details
Task | Title | Description | Lead | Participants |
8.1 | Concurrent Requirement Definition | The concurrent design approach (methodology) aids a better and mutual understanding of the technical issues at early
stages. This in turn results in a clear formulation of the essential design drivers and constraints. | ALL
8.2 | Concurrent Design Definition | The concurrent design approach (methodology) aids a better and mutual understanding of the technical issues at early
stages. This in turn results in a clear formulation of the essential design drivers and constraints. | ALL
8.3 | LIDAR Full System Integration and Verification | All subsystems are assembled together (opto-mechanical, electronics and software) and functionally tested at laboratory
level. All physical and operational requirements shall be verified prior to LIDAR validation and characterization is done
through tasks 7.4 and 7.5.
| INTA | POLIMI, York U |
8.4 | Instrument System Engineering | Through-out the whole project, INTA shall coordinate all technical activities, assuring the correct communications
among the difference disciplines, not only between scientific and engineering groups, but also within the optical,
mechanical, electronics and software subsystems. INTA will also be responsible to capture within the Design Justification File, all the design selections rationales, the resulting analysis and trade-offs, the results of the verifications and in
general, anything which demonstrate that the design meets the baseline requirements.
Finally, INTA will be also responsible of providing the instrument User Manual.. | INTA
